Online High Stakes Poker- Who is Gus Hansen?

Gus Hansen had a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only one to make it to the closing poker table in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker recorded history up against Daniel Negreanu. He secured a huge pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has earned many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best enthusiasts anywhere in the world. While competing in net poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. Gus regularly competes in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy-in of $40, 000. Gus frequently buys-in for the minimum of $16, 000 and gambles very weak. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then goes all in. I accept that Gus is a great poker player but not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has no reason to play at the table with the min buy-in.

Buying in for the minimum takes most of the expertise out of big stack poker. Gus is assumed to be 1 of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the total amount. I believe tv can skew our perception of the real world at times. The greatest poker players in the world could be guys you have will not have heard of. Gus can be found participating in online poker on Full Tilt. He normally competes in big stakes omaha eight-or-better and Holdem. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he use his talents in cash rounds?
