Phil Ivey has been referred to as the greatest poker contender on the globe by most of the top pros. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching turning one. His grandpa taught him penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was addicted to poker and wished to discover anything he possibly could about poker. He routinely would tell his parents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. Phil did not permit the detrimental feedback from others kill his ambition of becoming one of the greatest poker competitors on the planet.

Phil started competing intently after getting a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He sharpened his techniques at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. He decided to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Las Vegas. Phil continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players in the world. Phil credits his success to hard work and an undying passion for the game of poker. Phil states that he is picking up skills every single day and is very abashed about his accomplishments. Phil admits to making blunders in each session of poker and constantly aspires to get better.

Despite the fact that Ivey has won some big-time tournaments, he favors winning cash games on a normal basis.
