Novice Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in a great game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the house, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers wager against other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, starting players do not need to fret about other, more experienced gamblers taking their $$$$.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, beginners are able to take their time and scheme while not needing to make hasty selections.

It’s also easier to play for a long time with just a tiny bit of cash after all, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
